Dear Sir,
This letter is from a great fan of yours to seek your help and blessings towards winning a youth competition at global level.
My name is Vijayakumaar. I was born in a small town ‘Aruppukottai’ near Madurai. I am doing my final year Mechanical Engineering from SSN College of Engineering, Chennai. From my childhood I was inclined towards social service. Now, I am competing for the position of Global Ambassador of “World Merit”.
World Merit is a global network of more than 1,00,000 aspiring young leaders. Through their programs, they bring people together for a purpose - a purpose of social change, a purpose of building their potential. For more information, visit http://www.worldmerit.org/. World Merit has a scheme of selecting youth with potential to excel and groom them for enhancing their potential. It is called ‘Your Big Year' competition. I have just crossed the first stage, being one among the 120 persons selected out of more than 55,000 participants from nearly 200 countries. I am the only one selected from our Tamil Nadu and one among the 12 from India.
To move forward, I need to interview a person whom I admire the most and who have done an extraordinary contribution in their field of work. In that respect, I am approaching you to give me some time for a discussion.
You are a great inspiration for Indian Youth. You are making our country proud. You have taught us that the ‘Moon is at our reach’. You are such a simple person that anyone can approach you through Facebook. I am reaching out to you because I admire the work you do in our country and I would love to interview you on your experiences and let the world know about your achievements, in particular the pivotal moment in your life that defined the trajectory of your career.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. The prospect of potentially interviewing you is very exciting. Please feel free to email me your concerns and/or questions at scvijayakumaar@ymail.com.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I assure you that I will never use the recorded interview for any purpose without your prior permission other than the competition in which I am participating. This task is mainly to test my interviewing skills as I have to interview many world leaders in the future as the ambassador of World Merit. I can represent our country in the ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ which is to be held on UK this November, if I win this competition. Making this year a big year for me and making our country proud is in your hands. So, please do reply at the earliest.
Sincerely Yours,
S.C.VIJAYAKUMAAR.
